Ironman Boulder is officially happening TOMORROW.

(I think I just needed to see that in writing. Still not sure I fully believe it!)

Today was a prep and rest day. This morning I went with Scott to drop off his bike and his run bag. I did two of my favorite things. I supported my guy and I talked to strangers! (Triathletes are some of the nicest, most friendly people I have ever met.) Only athletes were allowed into the drop-off area, so I stood on the side and watched hundreds of people checking their bikes in. I just wanted to hug all of them and tell them how in awe I was. I’m so inspired and it’s not even race day. J

Scott stayed in the rest of the day, getting all kinds of stuff together, including, but not limited to, clothes for the morning, partial breakfast foods and utensils, and various lists. The kids and I hung out on Pearl Street – an awesome area of Boulder with lots of shops and restaurants and street entertainers.

Tonight we went for an early dinner with Scott’s training buddy Mark and his family. We’re back at the house now and just completed the traditional “writing on Scott’s arms”. (You’ll have to wait to see the pics!) We’ll be leaving the house at 4:30am, so we’re all getting ready for bed now.

You’ve been standing “on line” with us for days now, as we wait to jump into the Magic Mountain cars and start the actual ride. Thanks for keeping us company.

I’ll see you on the flip side!
